Much pomp and circumstance,

have graduated. Much happiness.

Woke up to car stuck in mud. Realized 

tire was also flat. 2 hours 15 minutes

in the cold rain. Was late for exam.

Santa suit erased all melancholy.

Trying to create

something new.

Artist's block.

End up swirling colors on canvas.

Woke up with a headache.

Had to wait out a tornado.

Dropped phone in large puddle rushing

to give presents. Hope the rest is better.

Slept way too late. 

Christmas present exploded 

in the kiln. Didn't get much done.

Sorry daughter and grand
didn't get there til after prodigal
grandson. Sonic became dinner.

Peppermints

Movies, peppermints, and sleep
since yesterday. Laundry, folding,
and packing til tomorrow.
Holidays are here.

Drive

School's out for Thanksgiving.
Regular morning schedule, except
for sleep. Sadness about leaving,
but excitement about going back.

Cleaning

Started out that way,
but ended up making it a home.
Pictures, candles, and bookshelves
do wonders.

Saturday

Again, to Jackson, but ended
the trip on the side of the road.
Sleep needs to be held
in higher regard.

Frost

More frost on the window,
but this time in stars.
Wonder what happened...
Really hoping for a white Christmas.

One

Early morning. Surprised sleep happened.
Biscuits were a nice surprise.
Only one real class. More hours spent in
the lab. Much trimming and fitting together.

Hours

5 hours spent in the
Ceramics lab. Red shirt turned
white. Pants definitely need to be washed.
11 down, 7 to go.

Test

Early morning bike ride to a test
not conducive to freezing temps.
No face for the rest of the day.
Moisturizer burns now.

Monday

Days start blurring together as the end
of the semester draws nearer.
When many consecutive hours are spent
in the same room, time stops.

Week

Another week. So much to do.
Classes winding down.
Gotta get the nose to the grindstone.
Time is ticking into the future.

Coffee

Blustery day in the city.
Tigger would have fun.
Piglet...not so much.
Inside, staying warm, drinking coffee.

Expectation

Glad the week is over.
Long time coming.
Still haven't started Christmas,
though songs were in the head all day.

Excitement

Morning class cancelled. Sleep instead.
Christmas is right around the corner.
Must get to creating.

Rain

Woke up to rain on the window.
Good omen for happiness (didn't
get stuck either). Proud of the
friends in the play. Awesome. Congrats.

Ending

Finally got the Delta pictures
sent off. 500 are miles going into
a portfolio. Who'd have thought
lunch would be this awesome?

Clothing

Cold day. First time
the black wool coat was worn.
Delta weather is something unaccounted for.
Home is where the wool is.

Pool

Practice makes better.
Playing every night helps too.
$3 gets 4 games. Student's learning,
but sometimes teaches the teacher.

Jackson

Yet again, but for meeting.
Driving to Radiohead
makes getting lost
worthwhile.

First

Bartender was very attentive.
Ice water, grilled cheese, and good
company. Friends everywhere make
for an interesting night.

Registration

Minor doesn't exist yet.
Signed up for total exhaustion.
Glad to have gotten in.
Spring '09 will involve a lot of sleep.

Curses crash in the silence
of the skull. Time is not a friend.
Things should be charged when they
are actually paid for, not after.

Driving never gets old
when Wilco and Dave are on,
even if it is the same roads all over again.

Halloween

Drive in, drive out.
Got in late. Drove around
in the middle of Madison County.
Had a lot of fun, even without scares.

Titleless

Many a devil and angel
appeared last night.
Title definitely lost.
Was soundly beaten at pool.

Happiness

Today was the day,
first time ever,
that winning happened
twice in a row. 4 times now.

Warm

First scrape of the window
was completed by a Picadilly card.
Soccer socks were worn all day.
Just trying to stay warm.

Cold

Long sleeves, scarves,
pants, thick socks,

List for the winter. So ready for it.

Pottery

Spent the day making
pottery. Working with
clay
is a soothing experience.

Drove down. Saw the
